 Answers:

The Birthday party is play written by Harold Pinter. In this play we find meaninglessness and absurdity and also  Pinter has given painteresque effect. In this play there is main character Stanley Webber who is piano player  plays important role. There are also other characters but and Pinter has not given much information about the background of the characters.  

It is a second full length play and considered best known and most frequently full length play.  And known as the comedy of menace and also theatre of absurd play. In this play we find such features as the fluidity and ambiguity of time, place and identity and disintegration of language.

In the beginning of the play we see there is dialogue between Petey and Meg about the newspaper and here we find absurdity of the characters and writer’s use of language. 

MEG You got your paper?
PETEY Yes
MEG Is it good?
PETEY Not bad.
MEG What does it say?
PETEY Nothing much.

In this play we find that Stanley who lives in the boarding house and Meg and Petey run that house. In this play and it is about that there are two sinister strangers namely Goldberg and McCann, who goes in the birthday party of Stanley arranged by Meg. At that time Stanley denies and says that,

 “This isn’t my Birthday, Meg”.

So this play tells about the way it deals with the absurdity and meaninglessness.

Answer:

Da Vinci Code is one of the famous novels by Dan Brown. In this novel we find there is a concept of Christianity in which writer talks about the Holy Grail which is actually not a cup but it is a Mary Magdalene, a disciple of Jesus Christ. The entire novel is about the history of Christianity.

What is suspense thriller??

Suspense thriller means it is a genre of literature and it deals with the viewer's moods, giving them a high level of anticipation, ultra-heightened expectation, uncertainty, surprise, anxiety and terror. Films of this genre tend to be adrenaline-rushing, gritty, rousing and fast-paced. 

In this novel we find that Brown bring all this elements of the suspense thriller in his novel Da Vinci Code. In this novel we see that the suspense of the Holy Grail which is actually Mary Magdalene. Where Symbolist Langton try to decode the message to solve the mystery.

What is Conspiracy theory??

A conspiracy theory is an explanatory proposition that accuses two or more persons, a group, or an organization of having caused or covered up, through secret planning and deliberate action, an illegal or harmful event or situation.

The novel’s central theme deals with the conspiracy theory.  In the novel there are two characters who trying to solve the mystery and wants to know about the mystery they are Langton and Liegh Teabing. Where Langton plays role as Protagonist and Liegh Teabing play as antagonist in the novel.

Feminine Sacredness:

In the novel the idea of Feminine Sacredness is main. The concept of a sacred feminine is that there was a matriarchal culture in early religions and supposedly the Christian church under Constantine attempted to crush it. In this novel we see that the writer has given more important to Mary Magdalene. But in the bible we don’t find much about Mary Magdalene. 

        In the movie we see that there are all characters plays very vital role. While watching movie we see that Robert Langton who has solve the mystery about Holy Grail through the painting of Da Vinci. And we come to about different symbology  in the novel writer has used in his novels like Sarcophagus, Merovingian Dynasty, Opus Dei, Priory, Constantine. 

       Throughout this novel writer has presented a history of Christianity.

Here are my views about The Robinson Crusoe:

Robinson Crusoe is novel written by Daniel Defoe. In this novel Defoe has wrote adventure of Crusoe that how he live an adventurous life.

This novel is based on fact. A man by the name of Alexander Selkirk spent many years upon a lonely island before returning home to Scotland.   Robinson Crusoe’s fictional autobiographical account of his twenty-eight years shipwrecked on a remote island against incredible odds is continued in The Further Adventures of Robinson Crusoe and Serious Reflection During the Life and Surprising Adventure of Robinson Crusoe: with his vision of the angelic world. First published when he was almost sixty years old. 

Defoe is considered by many to have written the first English novel. He wrote Crusoe in the style of social realism in which he is the observant reporter, historian, humorist, and grand story teller. With his extraordinary bibliography comprising myriad historical, satirical and political writings, Defoe’s most famous novel was an immediate success. He was died in 24 April 1731 in London, England.                

 Here I am present my view about subaltern Theory.  "Subaltern" is a British word for someone of inferior military rank, and combines the Latin terms for "under"(sub) and "other"(alter). 

                         The novel "Robinson Crusoe" by Daniel Defoe is based on fact. A man by the name of Alexander Selkirk spent many years upon a lonely island before returning home to Scotland. In this novel Defoe has tell about the relationship between Crusoe and Friday as master and slave.

                         In the novel the narrator and the central character is Crusoe. It deals with colonialism. Once Crusoe learns he is sole surviver of the expedition. He lives in lonely island for many years. He thought that he is the "King" of this island. Once he found some footprint of Cannibals. And he has saved life of Friday. Crusoe teaches him some English words and some elementary Christian concept. As we know that the colonial mind of White people they believe that they have only power of Society, Culture, etc. Here Crusoe is white man and Friday is African black man so Crusoe treated him as master.

                        Friday is the first person Crusoe introduces into the social order of the island. His name, of course , isn't Friday by birth, but this is the name given by Crusoe to him. The first and most obvious point about Friday's relationship with Crusoe is that Friday is Crusoe's subordinate. Friday always calls Crusoe as "Master". Crusoe also mentions that their relationship much like that of "a child to a father". In many ways Friday is the vibrant character in the novel, much more charismatic and colorful than Crusoe.

                          Through Friday's character Defoe has gave message to readers that how colonized people treated by colonizers.

                             “HAMLET” is one of the best Tragedy of William Shakespeare and longest play and among the most Powerful and influential tragedies in English Literature. The play dramatizes the revenge prince Hamlet exacts on his uncle Claudius, for murdering King Hamlet. I have seen the movie “Hamlet” Directed by Kenneth Branagh. He has portray beautiful character of Ophelia and Hamlet , and other also. And it is different somewhere than original play. This movie provides us better understanding. 

                              The movie “Hamlet” is the faithful to the original play. I didn’t read original play but, through this movie I understand very well that what Shakespeare wants to present in his play. Branagh’s “Hamlet” runs for around four hour but it is very good experience of watching movie and it helps to understand the tragic condition of Hamlet.

                             When I watched the movie I feel ‘aesthetic delight ‘ when Claudius died and take revenge by Hamlet . And also friendship between Hamlet and Horatio that they helps each other till end of the play.
                             I feel ‘catharsis’ when Ophelia goes mad and when she suicide because it was her unnatural death.
                              Yes the movie helps us  to better understanding because while watching movie it gives us pleasure . And it is helps us in time of examination also we remember everything easily.

                                  In movie ‘cherish’ moment is madness of Hamlet for Ophelia’s love and madness of Ophelia for his father’s  death and it will cherish lifetime.

                                  This movie was very interested for me. Because it is very pleasing to our eyes and this is one of the best tragedy of William Shakespeare and very well directed by Kenneth Branagh.

The novel Sense of Ending written by Julian Barns in this novel there are two parts. This is very short and complex novel. In this novel we find difficulty to understand the points of writer because it deals with the theme like memory and suspense. We find difficulty to understand the psychology of the characters and their relationships in the novel. Tony Webster is the main character and narrator of the novel where he deals with his past events in his life and narrates the story.

1. Phrase ‘Blood Money’ in Veronica’s reply email:

In the novel phrase “Blood money” is used by Veronica Ford when her mother left 500 dollars for Tony Webster and for that Veronica called it “Blood money”. Where we can be find two reasons that in first reason we see the situation and the unhealthy relation between Veronica and her mother Sarah because Sarah has relationship with her own daughter’s boyfriend Adrian and by that she has child from Adrian. This can be one reason that from the guilt of affair with Sarah Adrian has committed suicide. And another reason can be the letter of Tony which he has sends to Adrian for Veronica that letter could have really had a significant impact so that he committed suicide. And so for that Veronica called those 500 dollars as a “Blood money”.

2. Decipher the equation: b = s – v x/+ a1 or a2 + v + a1 X s = b:

In the novel Julian Barns uses a these mathematical equations for the representation of the characters to show their relationship with each other. Writer uses this method because he writes this novel in the postmodern era where he wants the readers to more think about the past of the novel. Where he uses this type of equation for the characters and its relationship.

      1)   b = s – v x/+ a1

B (Baby) = S (Sarah) – V (Veronica) x/+ a1 (Adrian)

In this mathematical equation we find the result is baby because we see that the relationship between mother Sarah and daughter Veronica are not so good and for that Sarah has a relationship with Adrian and it results baby of Sarah and Adrian. 

      2) a2 + v + a1 X s = b

a2 (Antony Webster) + v (Veronica) + a1 (Adrian) x s (Sarah) = b (Baby)

In this mathematical equation we can see that Veronica is stand between Tony and Adrian “a2 + v + a1” it shows that Veronica has relation with both Tony and Adrian. In the novel we see that Tony doesn’t like to go his girlfriend Veronica with Adrian and so he sends letter to Adrian and so that Adrian sends letter to Veronica but there her mother finds that she can build the relation with Adrian and they love to each other and it results baby between them.

3. Adrian suffering from trauma and thus gone mad, and was living with hidden identity:

In the novel Adrian has committed suicide because he was suffering from the trauma and gone mad and living with the hidden identity because he feels very guilty because of the relation with the Sarah who is forty years old woman and make affair with her. So from that guilt he may committed suicide and hides his identity.

4. Veronica related to Adrian, the one suffering in care-in-the-community:

We see that as Sarah and Adrian have an affair and Sarah gave birth to child and he also named as Adrian, a young Adrian. If we see the relation between Veronica and young Adrian they become brother and sister. Brother who is her own lover’s son with her mother. After becoming this situation we may say that the relationship between Veronica and Adrian is not good and he becomes step father for Veronica.

5. Missing block – some dot which is not getting connected with the whole or dot missing to get full sense of the novel - in the plot of this psychological thriller

In the novel there is complexity to understand the situation of the character because writer has not give clear information about the character but by the reading of the novel we can see that the character of Sarah who is always tried to search for the man because she always wants to see that the problems between the Veronica with Tony and Adrian. 

6. Character of Veronica: Instinctive, manipulative, calculating, stubborn, haughty, sacrificial, trustworthy, good Samaritan

The character of Veronica plays very important role in the life of Tony and Adrian because she has an affair with both of them first she loves Tony and then Adrian. First she loves truly to Tony but he doesn’t understand and they have different thinking for from each other so here we find her character as calculative. After her mother’s death she cares Junior Adrian and sacrifices her love for Adrian.

7. What do you mean by Unreliable Narrator?  Tony Webster classifiable as Unreliable Narrator? 

Unreliable narrator means that the narrator who narrates the story is not reliable or trustworthy in which we find there is no connection with the reality or remember events. Tony who is the narrator of the novel and he narrates the story at the age of sixty where he talks about his schooldays memory and after that he finds suspense of the Adrian suicide and his diary. Where he tries to remember the past of his life and narrates the story.

The last fourth cover page is suited for the central theme because in the novel we see the central theme deals with the memory of the narrator and we also find in the cover page there is one watch which symbolizes the time and the memory of the narrator of the novel. Which also symbolizes the history. And we also see in that cover page that there the title is written in different way that “The Sense” seems inside symbolizes the deep sense of the narrator where he goes back to the past of his memory and the “of an Ending” is written outside in front page it shows the complexity and different ending of this  novel.
